Here is a cozy and festive holiday dinner with beautiful decor and delicious food to get you in the Christmas spirit. This festive 12.12.12. holiday soiree was hosted by two incredibly talented wedding vendors in Victoria, BC., Barb Raymond (owner of French Kiss Events) and Erica Smolders (owner of Rook and Rose Floral Boutique). The inspiration behind the decor was to bring all the nostalgic outdoor elements that surround us during the holidays, inside! Mini wreaths, pinecones, burlap, and of course, a tree, combined together to make the atmosphere cozy & festive. Throughout the evening guests were serenaded by Amy Cunningham with her beautiful guitar and vocals.
The table was set with crisp white linens, a burlap runner, festive red napkins, and gold cutlery. The centerpieces we made of red peonies, orchids, pine cones and fresh winter greens. Glass Bud vases were filled with an assortment of Sweet William, Ilex Berries, Peonies, Ranunculus and Scabiosa Pods. Air Plants nestled into birch logs and piles of pine cones and Magnolia leaves finished off the look.
For the dinner, guests dined on delicious food from The London Chef. Roast butternut squash crostini with marinated goat cheese and sage. Fig and olive tapenade tart with griddled asparagus. Pan roasted duck breast with blistered cherry tomatoes and fennel. Honey roast carrots and yukon gold potatoes. And for desert a delicious caramelized apple tarte tartin.
The beautiful stationary was created by The Paper Suite.
