Megan + Baby

Megan is due any moment now!  The official due date is this Thursday, but I know Megan is hoping the little Miss makes her arrival earlier than expected.  She is being such a trooper, but saying that she has been feeling a tad uncomfortable is an understatement.

I have been so fortunate to work with Megan’s family on several occasions now and I was once again honoured to document this incredible time in her and Aiden’s life.

I am so excited for the two of you.  Your fun-loving, easy-going and super positive spirits will just make you such amazing parents.  I know it 🙂

So excited to meet your little Miss.

Gone Camping :)

Darren and I are sneaking away up island for the weekend for some R&R with some of our fantastic friends.  It is a secret spot that our friends Melia and Cam discovered and we are so grateful they shared this bit of west coast paradise with us.

What’s a post without a picture?? So I will leave you with a shot from our honeymoon in Santorini.  Gotta love self-timers!  See you Sunday!

Kim SpearsJuly 5, 2010 - 6:13 pm

Hong it is exactly the same place – Vallais Villas in Santorini !! I remember seeing it in your Facebook pics and knew we had to go there for our honeymoon. It was AH-MAZING !!

Krista & Karl {Engaged}

He holds her hand as she walks along the log and tells her to watch her step to avoid the sharp branch poking out of a piece of driftwood.  We can still hear Sophie, their beautiful puppy, whimpering in the car as we walk further away.  Once she knew we weren’t going far she relaxed and curled up on the seat and waited patiently for our return.  Karl looks so lovingly at Krista and they laugh as she continues to whisper “I love you”, over and over.  It really is too cute!

I am a sucker for love and these two had me ooohing and ahhhing at how stinking adorable they are together.

Here are just a few of my favourites.  I hope you like them!

Jasmine Star Workshop

This week I was in Orange County as one of the few lucky attendees at Jasmine *’s Workshop.  If you have been following my blog for awhile you will know that I am a huge fan of Jasmine’s work and her incredible business savvy.  I had met her for the first time back in March at Image Quest and I was so excited to learn from her again and hopefully absorb as much knowledge as I could in this short period of time.  I was really impressed with how much ground we were able to cover and I really walked away feeling recharged, inspired and full of ideas.

As part of the workshop we were fortunate to be able to work with the most beautiful couple Joe and Jihan Cerda.  These two are SMOKIN hot !!  Besides being ridiculously good looking they are sweet as pie to boot.  Jihan’s gorgeous make up was done by the one and only Vivian of All Made Up and the incredible black cala lilly bouquet was created by Carissa of JL Designs.

It was such a pleasure to meet so many other photographers.  I was happy to see some familiar faces at the workshop.  I had the pleasure of meeting Jonda Spurbeck at the Red Leaf Studios Workshop, and I had met Mikaela Ruth at Image Quest back in March.  You can check out there awesome work HERE and HERE.

If you are curious to know a bit more about Jasmine and the workshop you can check out my previous post HERE, or click to learn more about her workshops HERE.

Now on to the hotness!

PS – thank you to Rosie for sending me this lovely free action for rounded corners from the Coffee Shop.  What do you think of the change ??

Out of the Office

I have been SO excited to write this post for the past month.  Tomorrow I am leaving for a few days to head to Orange County, California, for the Jasmine Star Workshop!  I met Jasmine for the first time back in March at the Image Quest Conference in Vancouver.  I was starstuck – no pun intended!  I have been a HUGE fan of Jasmine’s work and business savvy since I first discovered her work a few years ago.  Jasmine is incredibly well known in the wedding photography world and she is an inspiration to photographers all around the globe.  Jasmine took the world by storm with her crisp, fresh, fun and editorial inspired imagery and her amazing talent of marketing and branding.  Her incredibly down-to-earth personality, coupled with her fabulous sense of humour and openness to share, has sparked a fanatic following.  I am so excited to attend her workshop and meet the other fantastic photographers who are attending as well.

I want to leave you with a few more images from the adorable session I shot with the super talented Michelle Loewen.  Thanks again Michelle for inviting me along!  I hope we can do it again soon 🙂

I know the focus isn’t the best in this shot, but I just love it !
