I am soooo excited to finally have a new blog (as you may have been able to tell !)

I have had my eye on the ProPhoto Blog for quite some time now.  With fully customizable sites, that allow you to really showcase your style, personality and brand, I knew it was only a matter of time before I had to get one.  Well after venting my blog frustrations to fellow photographer Sean Norman (check out his fabulous site here !), he gave me the push I needed to get in gear and get my new site in motion.

Folks, I purchased this site this morning and after spending only half a day working on it, it is up and running – and not looking half bad if I do say so myself.   Now I am not at all what I would call computer savvy, so this speaks volumes about how well these templates work.

Hope you enjoy my new blog !!  And finally here is a photo at a resolution it is meant to be viewed at 🙂

AHH KIM! This is SO delicious, I love it! So much for the 2-3 business days, this was a matter of hours really! Congrats! And seriously, that image looks AMAZING! Ohh, this is so good!

It's their first family photos

I was so honoured that Jadine contacted me and asked if I would be able to take her family’s first family photos together.   Here are just a few of my favourite images from our fun day at Beacon Hill Park.  Jadine and Clayton have two ADORABLE children.  Seriously with faces like those I’d be handing over puppies, ice cream … whatever they wanted, all the time!

Hope you love them!  I think this first one would be amazing on canvas 🙂

Kickin it Old School

I really like the old school vibe of the post processing on this one.  Reminds me of a photo from long, long ago.

Krista, the beautiful bride, was in one of the old rooms in the house at the Overbury Resort on Thetis Island.  I could have spent the entire shoot in that room, it was just amazing with all the wood and vintage furniture and details.  Not to mention, lighting that photographers would kill for!

Glad everyone has loved this post ! Just want to make sure you know that I found it on the internet … unfortunately not at one of the weddings I shot. However, I think it would be awesome if any of my brides and grooms would come up with something like this – sooooo fun and memorable !!

I have to say a quick thank you to my fabulous friends and clients Amanda and David.  I shot their wedding this past February (see pic below!) and I was so surprised to receive a couple of the most beautiful and delicious smelling candles EVER as a wedding gift from the two of them.

Thank you SO much !! I truly have the BEST clients !!
