I can't help myself ….

… I must post more photos from Dana & Scott’s {E-Session} !! This was such a fun session.  So much colour !  And I love me some bright colours 😉

Yesterday as I was blog stalking other photographers, as I always do, I came across an entry from a new friend of mine and photographer extraordinaire, Lisa Ramsey Gratton from Ophelia Photography.  Lisa wrote about a challenge she was participating in to blog everyday for the month of June.  Well I have decided to sort of get in on this challenge, not by blogging everyday, but at least every second day.  How’s that ?!  I am away a couple times in June so I wasn’t sure how feasible the everyday blogging sitch would work out.  But every second day is a start and more than I am blogging now 🙂

On that note, here are some more photos of the adorable Dana & Scott.  Enjoy!

Hello gorgeous!

Ahhh Kim, they’re so lovely looking. I hate having my picture taken but if I was to ever want someone to capture me, it’ll be you 🙂

Dana & Scott {E-Session}

Bright and early this morning, I had a super fun urban e-session with Dana and Scott.  We wandered around town, stopping here and there to snap some shots.

I knew we got a LOT of good ones, and I couldn’t wait to start editing them as soon as I got home!

This is my fourth session with these two – however, this one was without their adorable son Marcus.  I am shooting their wedding in just over a month and seeing these two rock it today just made me that much more excited about their wedding photos to come!

Here are just a few of my faves already.  Hope you love them 🙂

The last two are AMAZING! I love the colours from the market shot, it’s so cute. And the tilt-shift of the final image looks terrific. Great taste, Kim!

I absolutely love the Market one. This is what marriage is – loving each other amid the every day, the routine, the ordinary ! I love all your photos, they are extra-ordinary you know that.
Keep up the amazing work!

Hey Girl!

Again so nice to have met you and these photos look great. I love the one near a market which I am guessing is China Town. One day I think we should shoot a wedding together!!! 2 for 1. Could be rocking. XOXO Lisa from Ophelia Photography

DIY Wedding Favours

So for some reason I have become absolutely obsessed with succulents and their use in bouquets, favors, boutonnieres … you name it.  So when I stumbled across this fabulous do-it-yourself succulent favour featured on the 100 Layer Cake website, I had to share it here.

Check it out here!  Their site is full on fantastic tips, tricks and creative ideas for all aspects while planning your wedding.

{Enjoy}

PS – no post is complete without a pic, so here you go 🙂

Alina & Michael {E-Session} … and Rafi

Every once and awhile I have a photo session where everything clicks (no pun intended!)  The lighting, weather, location, chemistry, and creative vision all come together seamlessly.  These days make me happy…very happy and grateful.  Not that working hard fighting against conditions that are seemingly out to get you isn’t rewarding.  In fact getting great shots under unlikely circumstances is always a fabulous feeling.  However, when things are easy – the shots, the poses, the personalities of all involved … it is such a wonderful feeling.

My session with Alina and Michael and their ‘so cute I could steal him’ dog, Rafi, was one of those days.  Everything was perfect.  I had met with Alina and Michael before as I am shooting their incredible 3 day wedding event at Poet’s Cove this summer.  Alina and I have shared numerous emails back and forth and it was when those emails began that I knew I was excited to work with these two.  They are both incredibly laid back and easy to be around.  We laugh a lot, and that’s always a good sign.  The two of them are so comfortable together.  During couples sessions I always want the vibe of the session to be as if I am not even there.  A fly on the wall … with a camera.   Alina and Michael got right into it and just enjoyed each others company while I did my best to capture their relationship on ‘film’.

There is so much I love about these images.  I think there is such a calmness to them.  Perhaps it is the grey skies, or just the demeanor of these two together.  Whatever it is, I like it.

Alina and Michael – I am so excited about your wedding this summer!  And judging by how you rocked these photos I know we are going to create some amazing images at your wedding and I can’t wait !!  We definitely won’t have a shortage of images for your guestbook! I hope you like these teasers *fingers crossed*

xoxo
